Requests and Grievances

Within corrections it is essential that there is a definitive process in place for inmates to make requests. These include requests for legal, medical and religious appointments, arranging a time to visit the law library and organizing visits with family/friends. A similar process must also exist for inmates to report grievances.

Traditional management of inmate Requests and Grievances requires both the Officer and inmate to complete a handwritten form. This is an inefficient use of the Officer’s time.

Using the interactive kiosk, inmates fill out electronic request and grievance forms. The Officer views the request or grievance recorded and logs the action taken. Once the request or grievance has been closed the form can be printed, signed and filed.
